Mobile CCTV Unit
We are very close to having our Mobile CCTV Van finished – the guys are busy working away at it now. We will be using it for CCTV Training at customer sites and for CCTV surveillance at events such as festivals, sporting events, fêtes, and carnivals etc. You can see more info here – Mobile CCTV Unit Website
We have added Ashford in Kent to our list of locations for SIA Security Training.
Based in Godington Park not far from Junction 9 of the M20, our new location makes it easier for some of our learners to gain their SIA badge.

We have now added APLH Award for Personal Licence Holders Training Courses to our list of publicly-available training courses.
This replaces the NCPLH National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders, and is aimed at anyone who wants to sell or authorise to sell alcohol in licensed premises.

We have now added Level 1 Health and Safety in the Workplace Training Courses to our list of public courses.
This 3 hour course is an ideal introduction to basic health and safety for all employees – If you have new employees starting you can send them on this course as part of your induction rather than bringing training in-house.

Well it was all excitement last night!
At about 5:10 Friday night Debbie could smell smoke. Went outside for a quick look, and sure enough there was a small fire in the old quarry pit behind the Swanscombe Business Centre offices. What with all rubbish in the pit and the dry hot weather we have had a quick decision was made to call 999 and evacuate the building*. By the time the Police and Fire Brigade got here it was raging and flames were licking round the building!
* Apart from Roger, who filmed the fire from our boardroom! To quote Debbie “That boy needs a good slap”
By about 5:30 there was a 400 metre police cordon round the office, half a dozen fire engines in attendance and the smoke could be seen for miles. We had no choice but to retire to our local The Bull Pub.
Dartford and Gravesend Firemen worked through the night to bring the blaze under control and prevent the building from going up in smoke. Apparently it took 10 Fire Engines and a water unit!
As I sit at my desk now at 10:50 Saturday morning there is still some smoke coming from the smoldering remains and the fire brigade are still dampening it down.

Training for Security have noticed that some applicants have had issues with their SIA License Applications if they have spend time living outside the UK.
If you are applying for an SIA License and live overseas or have spent 6 months outside the UK, you must provide the SIA evidence of a criminal record check from that country. You only have 5 weeks to supply this information after submitting your license application. If you cannot supply the information within that time you may lose your license application fee.
We would recommend that you complete this process prior to applying for your license, and send it with your application
